Heleo4 Pro LED is a medical LED panel, not a heat-based device. It works with light alone, so nothing is cut, ablated or warmed to the point of injury. The panel bathes the skin in measured doses of light — red, yellow and blue — and that controlled dosing is what separates a professional panel from a consumer mask. It is built by ZXA Group, the Bulgarian company behind the Heleo4 method.
The mechanism is called photobiomodulation. The proposed explanation is that cells absorb light in their mitochondria, the structures that produce their energy, and that the extra energy helps them calm inflammation, support collagen and repair faster. The pathway is still being worked out. Each colour behaves differently and reaches its own depth, which is why the clinician chooses the emphasis rather than running one setting for everything. This is not photodynamic therapy: that method needs a photosensitising agent applied to the skin first, and LED therapy on this panel uses light alone.
Because the panel adds light rather than heat or trauma, most patients feel nothing more than gentle warmth, and there is no recovery time. Patients simply lie under the panel for the session. That gentleness is the reason for using it: the panel suits inflamed or acne-prone skin, persistent redness, and the days right after injectables or laser, when treated tissue needs to settle. It asks nothing of skin that is already working to recover.
The same property makes the device easy to layer onto other treatments. Run after a more intensive procedure, a light course can support the skin while it settles and help extend the result of the work that came before it. The panel does not compete with those treatments for downtime, because it adds none of its own.
At MED YU MED the panel runs in two ways. It works as a standalone course aimed at skin quality, including a separate yellow-light protocol for sensitive, reactive or tired-looking skin, and it works as a recovery step inside combination protocols, scheduled around the treatment it supports. The yellow-light protocol is booked in 10-, 20- or 30-minute sessions, and the panel covers the face and neck, the face with decollete, the hands or a large body zone. The clinician sets the colour emphasis, the session length and the frequency at consultation.
Results build session over session rather than overnight, which makes consistency more useful than intensity. Outcomes vary between individuals, and the panel is a supportive treatment rather than a replacement for procedures that address structure or deeper concerns. Light-based therapy is well tolerated, but it is not for everyone: photosensitivity, photosensitising medication and light-triggered epilepsy rule it out, and the clinician checks for those first.
