VOLNEWMER

VOLNEWMER is a monopolar radiofrequency device that tightens skin without needles. Where RF microneedling drives energy through pins that pierce the dermis, VOLNEWMER works entirely from the surface: the clinician moves a handpiece across the skin and the energy passes through it. No punctures, no entry points, no micro-channels, and no wound to heal. It is built by Classys, the South Korean manufacturer that also makes the clinic's Ultraformer MPT.

It runs at 6.78 MHz, and that figure is the device's defining detail. Classys states the frequency is tuned to heat the dermis, the layer where collagen sits, while the surface stays protected. How deep the heat lands is set by the electrode and the cooling as much as by the frequency itself.

That deep, controlled heating does two things. It contracts existing collagen for an immediate firming effect that some patients notice straight after a session, and it sets off new collagen production that continues for weeks as the tissue rebuilds. The first change is mechanical and quick; the second is biological and gradual, and it is the one that carries the result.

What makes the heat tolerable is the cooling. Classys pairs the 115 W output with a patented continuous contact water-cooling system: the surface is actively cooled while the energy travels beneath it. That is why the treatment feels like a warm massage rather than a sharp burn, why no numbing is needed, and why the device can work around the eyes, an area the clinic prices separately.

Radiofrequency is comfortable but not universal. An implanted electronic device such as a pacemaker rules it out, and so do metal or facial implants in the area without a doctor's approval, and reduced sensitivity to heat or pain. A patient who cannot feel the warmth cannot say when it is too much. Radiofrequency is not risk-free either: redness and warmth after a session are usual and settle on their own, and burns have been reported with radiofrequency when energy is misapplied.
