About the VOLNEWMER
VOLNEWMER is a monopolar radiofrequency device made by CLASSYS, the South Korean manufacturer that also makes the clinic’s Ultraformer MPT. A single electrode delivers 6.78 MHz radiofrequency into the skin. CLASSYS states that the energy targets both the papillary and the reticular dermis while the epidermis is protected, and that it stimulates collagen regeneration in the upper and lower dermis to firm and tighten the skin.
No needles pierce the skin: the clinician places a tip on the surface and the device delivers its shots through it. At MED YU MED the VOLNEWMER is used for skin tightening on the face, around the eyes and on body areas.

How monopolar RF works
Each shot follows the same sequence. The tip is placed on the skin, the device performs an impedance check, starts the cooling system and then delivers the thermal energy. CLASSYS describes the heat passing from the papillary dermis to the reticular dermis while continuous contact cooling protects the epidermis, and the collagen fibres contracting so the skin looks firmer and tighter.
The four tips set the size of the treated area. The I Tip, at 0.25 cm², is made for sensitive zones such as the eyes, nose and marionette lines. The F Tip shapes the jawline and chin, the V Tip is the main tip for the face, and the S Tip, at 16 cm², covers body areas including the abdomen, arms and thighs. CLASSYS states that the water cooling reduces discomfort during treatment.
Radiofrequency is not risk-free. Redness and warmth after a session are usual, and burns have been reported with radiofrequency when energy is misapplied.
