The HydraFacial system at MED YU MED replaces manual extraction with a patented Vortex-Fusion tip. A spiral nozzle creates gentle suction that lifts oil and debris out of the pores, and in the same motion spins serums into the skin. Cleansing and hydration run together rather than as separate steps, which is the core idea behind the device. It is built by The HydraFacial Company in the United States.
The method has a name: hydradermabrasion. Where traditional extraction squeezes pores by hand and microdermabrasion sands the surface with crystals, this tip works with fluid and controlled suction. Nothing pierces the skin and nothing ablates it, which is why the treatment leaves no wound to heal and asks nothing of the skin afterwards.
A session runs in three stages. First the skin is cleansed and peeled, loosening dead cells and surface congestion. Then the vortex tip extracts, drawing debris out of the pores under suction while serum flows. Finally the skin is fused and protected with antioxidant and hydrating serums. The stages follow one another in a single pass over each zone.
At MED YU MED the protocol scales to the concern. The core treatment covers the face, or the face and decollete; Deluxe adds LED light therapy; Platinum adds manual lymphatic drainage, a targeted booster serum and LED. The clinic also pairs HydraFacial with a PRX-T33 or IMAGE peel where the skin calls for it. The clinician picks the version at consultation rather than selling the longest one by default.
Because nothing is cut or burned, HydraFacial suits skin that cannot take downtime: before an event, between more intensive treatments, or as regular maintenance for congestion and dullness. Most patients see brighter skin the same day. It works on the surface, though, so it manages skin quality rather than replacing treatments that address laxity, structure or deep pigment.
The treatment is gentle, but not for every skin on every day: active infection, sunburn, an inflamed rosacea flare and recent resurfacing all rule it out for the time being, and any allergy to the serums matters because the fluid is the treatment.
