MED YU MED

The HydraFacial system at MED YU MED replaces manual extraction with a patented Vortex-Fusion tip. A spiral nozzle creates gentle suction that lifts oil and debris out of the pores, and in the same motion spins serums into the skin. Cleansing and hydration run together rather than as separate steps, which is the core idea behind the device. It is built by The HydraFacial Company in the United States.

The method has a name: hydradermabrasion. Where traditional extraction squeezes pores by hand and microdermabrasion sands the surface with crystals, this tip works with fluid and controlled suction. Nothing pierces the skin and nothing ablates it, which is why the treatment leaves no wound to heal and asks nothing of the skin afterwards.

A session runs in three stages. First the skin is cleansed and peeled, loosening dead cells and surface congestion. Then the vortex tip extracts, drawing debris out of the pores under suction while serum flows. Finally the skin is fused and protected with antioxidant and hydrating serums. The stages follow one another in a single pass over each zone.

At MED YU MED the protocol scales to the concern. The core treatment covers the face, or the face and decollete; Deluxe adds LED light therapy; Platinum adds manual lymphatic drainage, a targeted booster serum and LED. The clinic also pairs HydraFacial with a PRX-T33 or IMAGE peel where the skin calls for it. The clinician picks the version at consultation rather than selling the longest one by default.

Because nothing is cut or burned, HydraFacial suits skin that cannot take downtime: before an event, between more intensive treatments, or as regular maintenance for congestion and dullness. Most patients see brighter skin the same day. It works on the surface, though, so it manages skin quality rather than replacing treatments that address laxity, structure or deep pigment.

The treatment is gentle, but not for every skin on every day: active infection, sunburn, an inflamed rosacea flare and recent resurfacing all rule it out for the time being, and any allergy to the serums matters because the fluid is the treatment. Results vary between individuals. To book, see HydraFacial treatment and prices. For the protocols and what each includes, see HydraFacial in Dubai: how the treatment works.

How a Session Works

  1. ConsultationSkin assessment and goal review, including any allergy to serums or peels, recent injectables and recent resurfacing. The clinician picks the protocol and any add-on.
  2. Cleanse & peelMakeup is removed and the skin is prepared. The clinician selects the tip and the serums for your skin type.
  3. Extract & infuseThe vortex tip passes over each zone in three stages — cleanse and peel, extract and hydrate, fuse and protect. Deluxe adds LED; Platinum adds lymphatic drainage and a booster serum. Usually 30-60 minutes depending on the protocol.
  4. AftercareNo downtime. Makeup and normal activity resume the same day; mild transient redness is possible. Sun protection is advised, and the treatment is often repeated as regular maintenance.

FAQ

What is the HydraFacial device?
It is a hydradermabrasion platform built by The HydraFacial Company in the United States, part of BeautyHealth. Its patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system uses a spiral tip to lift oil and debris out of the pores by gentle suction while spinning serums into the skin in the same pass. At MED YU MED it runs cleansing, exfoliation and hydration protocols with no downtime.
How does Vortex-Fusion work?
The tip spirals fluid across the skin under controlled suction. That vortex loosens dead cells and surface congestion and draws debris out of the pores, and because the same motion delivers serum, cleansing and hydration happen together rather than as separate steps. It is fluid and suction, not a needle and not a laser.
What is the difference between the standard, Deluxe and Platinum protocols?
The core treatment runs three stages: cleanse and peel, extract and hydrate, then fuse and protect. Deluxe adds LED light therapy. Platinum adds manual lymphatic drainage, a targeted booster serum and LED. The clinician recommends the version that fits your skin at consultation, and the price list shows what each includes.
Is there downtime after HydraFacial?
Usually none. The treatment is not ablative and uses no needles, so most patients return to normal activity and makeup the same day, sometimes with mild transient redness. Skin can look brighter immediately, and results vary between individuals.
How often can HydraFacial be repeated?
It is often run as regular maintenance rather than a one-off, and many patients repeat it monthly. The frequency depends on your skin and the protocol, and the clinician sets it at consultation. Results vary between individuals.
Who should not have HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is not performed over active infection, inflammation, open wounds or herpes in the treatment area; on sunburnt or strongly irritated skin; during an actively inflamed rosacea flare; over active dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis or neurodermatitis in the treatment area; after recent aggressive peeling, ablative laser or skin resurfacing in the area; or with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to any serum, peel or product used. The peel add-ons carry their own limits: PRX-T33 and IMAGE protocols are not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, under the age of 18, or after recent isotretinoin. A severe active acne flare, and recent injectables in the treatment area, each need the doctor to approve first. A specialist confirms the full list and your suitability at consultation.
