The DEKA Motus AX is an Italian-built Alexandrite laser platform. It runs one wavelength, 755 nm, delivered through the Moveo handpiece. Melanin absorbs 755 nm strongly, which makes the wavelength efficient on hair and makes skin tone part of the clinical decision.
Older Alexandrite systems fire single high-energy pulses and stamp their way across the area. Under that delivery, darker and tanned skin carried a higher risk of burns and pigment change. Moveo changes how the energy arrives. The practitioner glides the handpiece over the skin while stacked low-fluence pulses build heat gradually in the follicle, and an integrated sapphire tip cools the surface through the pass. DEKA developed the method to widen the range of phototypes Alexandrite can treat and to reduce the pain of single-pulse delivery.
Because the heat builds gradually, most patients describe the sensation as warm rather than stinging, and many need no topical anaesthetic gel. Sensation varies by area and by person.

Redness and mild swelling around the treated follicles are common in the hours after a session and usually settle on their own. Burns, blistering and changes in skin pigment are uncommon but possible, which is why the assessment and the patch test come first.
