Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring polysaccharide found in human connective tissue. Injectable HA fillers are cross-linked to varying degrees to achieve different viscosities suited to specific treatment areas — from fine superficial lines to deep structural volumisation.
Brands used at MED YU MED include Juvederm (Voluma, Volux, Volbella, Ultra by Allergan), Restylane (Lyft, Defyne, Refyne by Galderma), and Teosyal (Teoxane, Switzerland). Product selection is made at consultation based on treatment area, tissue depth, and patient anatomy. All products used are CE-marked and registered with UAE regulatory authorities.
All HA fillers used at the clinic are reversible with hyaluronidase enzyme should correction or dissolution be required. Patients are informed of this prior to treatment.

Products we use
We use FDA-cleared and CE-marked HA filler products including Juvederm (Allergan Aesthetics), Restylane (Galderma) and Teosyal. Different products have different viscosities — denser fillers for structural areas like cheeks and jaw, softer products for delicate areas like the tear trough and lips.
All products are sterile, single-use and contain lidocaine for comfort.
Safety — how we work
Filler placement carries anatomical risk if performed incorrectly. At MED YU MED injections are performed only by trained physicians. We use aspiration technique, cannulas where appropriate and have hyaluronidase on hand for emergency use.
We do not perform lip augmentation beyond what is proportionate, and we decline requests that in our clinical judgement would produce an unnatural result.
What to expect — before and after
- Before: topical anaesthetic applied 20–30 min before; avoid blood thinners 5–7 days before; no alcohol 24 h before
- During: fine needle or cannula; lidocaine in product; procedure 20–45 min per area
- After: mild swelling and bruising normal for 3–7 days; avoid heat, exercise and pressure for 48 h; massage only if specifically instructed
- Results settle over 2–4 weeks as swelling resolves
