How PRP works
Platelets are a natural part of the blood’s repair system. When tissue is injured, platelets aggregate and release growth factors — including PDGF, VEGF, TGF-β and IGF-1 — that signal tissue repair, collagen synthesis and angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation).
Concentrating these platelets and introducing them into a target area at therapeutic concentration amplifies the repair signal. In skin, this translates to improved texture, firmness and hydration. In hair follicles, PRP supports the anagen (active growth) phase.

What to expect — the session

Before and after care
- Before: no alcohol or blood thinners for 48 h; drink normally and eat before the appointment; no NSAIDs unless medically required

Is PRP treatment safe?
Because PRP uses the patient’s own blood, the risk of allergic reaction to the PRP component is eliminated. As with any injectable treatment, there are risks of bruising, swelling, and infection at injection sites. How many PRP sessions do I need for hair loss?
Most protocols recommend 3-4 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart for androgenetic alopecia, followed by maintenance sessions every 4-6 months. Individual response varies and will be assessed at consultation.
What is the difference between a PRP facial and a vampire facial?

Is there downtime after PRP treatment?
