PicoSure Pro is a picosecond-pulse laser (Cynosure, USA) operating at 755 nm Alexandrite wavelength. Unlike nanosecond lasers, picosecond pulses deliver energy in trillionths of a second — creating a predominantly photomechanical rather than photothermal effect. This shatters pigment particles with less thermal spread, which is useful for stubborn pigmentation and for skin types where thermal buildup is a risk factor.

At MED YU MED PicoSure is used for pigmentation (sun spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, melasma when appropriate), acne scar texture, overall skin rejuvenation and tattoo removal. The physician assesses Fitzpatrick skin type before selecting settings.

Aftercare

• SPF 50 immediately and daily — essential for all laser treatments
