How it works — RF microneedling mechanism
Morpheus8 uses an array of insulated microneedles that penetrate to a programmable depth (1–8 mm). At the target depth, bipolar radiofrequency energy is emitted. Because the needles are insulated, the epidermis is largely spared — energy is focused at the dermal/subdermal junction.
The controlled thermal injury triggers a wound-healing response: fibroblasts proliferate, collagen fibres are reorganised and new collagen is produced. Simultaneously, the thermal effect in the subdermal fat layer causes adipose remodelling — useful for areas with subtle laxity and fat.
