This section covers device-assisted body work rather than manual massage. At present it holds one treatment: Endospheres Therapy, a compression-based system used for cellulite appearance, tissue quality and post-procedure recovery.
Endospheres works through rhythmic mechanical compression delivered by a roller of silicone spheres, rather than through heat, light or injection. The mechanism is pressure applied to tissue and the circulation within it — which is why it feels like a deep, methodical massage and why there is no downtime, no marks and no needles.
That same mechanism sets the ceiling. Compression work improves how tissue looks and feels: texture, puffiness, the dimpling associated with cellulite, and the drainage that follows swelling. It does not remove fat, and it is not a weight-loss treatment. Cellulite itself is a structural feature of skin and connective tissue rather than a disease, it is extremely common in women regardless of weight, and no non-invasive treatment eliminates it permanently. Anyone promising otherwise is describing a sales position.
Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes depending on the areas treated, priced at 500 and 600 AED respectively. Results build across a course rather than after one appointment, and they hold with maintenance — tissue returns to its previous state if the course stops, which is the honest way to describe every treatment in this category.
You can return to normal activity immediately. Some people feel pleasantly worked over, similar to after a deep massage, and the treated area may look slightly flushed for a short time. Drinking water afterwards supports the drainage the session encourages.
Treatment is postponed or declined during pregnancy, over active infection, inflammation or open wounds in the treatment area, with acute illness or a flare of a chronic condition, with active cancer or ongoing cancer treatment, with blood clotting disorders or on anticoagulant therapy without a doctor’s approval, with a history of thrombosis, and where a device such as a pacemaker is implanted in the treatment area. This list is not exhaustive.
Tell the doctor about recent surgery, any implants in the area, varicose veins, and any condition affecting circulation or lymphatic drainage — post-surgical and post-procedure use is common but the timing has to be set by whoever performed the original procedure.
Compression treatment is low-risk, but call 998 — the UAE ambulance number, free and available 24 hours — or go to the nearest emergency department if you develop sudden shortness of breath, chest pain, or painful swelling in one leg after any body treatment, since these can indicate a clot. Contact the clinic during opening hours if bruising is more than mild, if pain persists after a session, or if swelling increases rather than settling.
A consultation establishes what the actual goal is — appearance of cellulite, post-procedure recovery, tissue quality after weight change — because these need different session counts and different expectations. Where the goal is fat reduction rather than tissue quality, this is not the right treatment and a doctor should say so.
Full details, contraindications and current prices sit on the treatment page. Final suitability is determined by a clinician at an in-person assessment at MED YU MED, Bluewaters Island, Dubai.
